LOCAL RESTAURANTS OPEN ON THANKSGIVING DAY: Here's a list of restaurants that say they're open on Thanksgiving Day 2017:
Tivoli Terrace hosts its annual Ruff's Thanksgiving Day Fundraiser Feast... well behaved dogs are welcome to participate, and vegetarian meals are available. Call (949) 494-9650 for more info.
Driftwood Kitchen is offering a Thanksgiving Day buffet by the beach.
The Ranch at Laguna Beach has a Thanksgiving Day buffet in its ballroom, along with a Fall-inspired 'donut wall' and photo booth.
Hotel Laguna (as we now it to be today) will offer its last Thanksgiving Day supper, so to speak, before it closes its doors or changes ownership (whichever comes first, we're not so sure).
According to the good folks over at Visit Laguna Beach, the following restaurants are all serving Thanksgiving Day meals, as well:
C'est La Vie Restaurant: For $49.95 per person, you'll get a five-course Thanksgiving feast.
Dolce Gelato: No turkey-flavored gelato that we're aware of, but this fantastic Laguna desert eatery is open from 11am - 10pm.
GG's Bistro: Open from 11:30am-9pm, serving its regular menu, which includes loads of Gluten-free options!
The Greeters Corner: Open from 8am-7:30pm, serving the regular menu.
K'ya Bistro Bar: Open from 4pm-8pm offering the regular menu in addition to a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.... Turkey plate with mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing and cranberry sauce for just $12.
Montage Laguna Beach's Grand Ballroom has a 12-station holiday buffet from 12pm-5pm. Enjoy live entertainment, a complimentary Champagne toast, and family photographs. For reservations, call (949) 715-6420.
Las Brisas Restaurant: Serving a Thanksgiving Day Buffet from 8am-11am, followed by a prix fixe holiday menu. Contact the restaurant directly for more information.
Lumberyard: Open from 4pm-10pm, serving a prix fixe Thanksgiving menu; adults are $60 per person. A children's prix fixe menu is also available. Please contact the restaurant directly for more information.
Pizza Bar: Open from 9am-4pm, serving the regular menu.
Royal Hawaiian: Open 1pm-8pm, serving a special 3-course prix fixe menu; adults are $44.75 per person and children (12 and under) are $19.75 each. Reservations are recommended.
Sapphire Laguna: In addition to Herb Roasted Turkey, Sapphire is also offering Curry Laksa Barramundi, Pan Seared Beef Tenderloin & Wild Mushroom Farro Risotto plus more for an unforgettable Thanksgiving holiday meal. Reservations are recommended — call (949) 715-9888.
Thanksgiving Gourmet Feast at Selanne Steak Tavern: Open from 1pm-8pm, serving a 3-course prix fixe Thanksgiving menu.
370 Common Kitchen + Drink: Three course traditional Thanksgiving feast with all the fixings, served from 1pm-8pm. Adults: $52, Kids: $26. Call (949) 494-8686 for reservations.
The White House: Open at 8am for breakfast. Regular lunch and dinner menu available in addition to a traditional Thanksgiving menu offered 1pm-close.
TONIGHT'S FUNDRAISER: As some of our readers may know, Katie Ford — a lifelong Laguna Beach resident and a key member of the staff at Stu News Laguna — was in a serious auto accident last month. By all accounts, Katie has a long road to recovery ahead. To help Katie out, the good folks over at the Marine Room, KX 93.5, and Stu News are hosting a fundraiser this evening in her benefit. Consider joining friends and other community members in supporting Katie and her family during their time of need. Everything gets underway starting at 6pm.

The Assistance League of Laguna Beach holds its annual Christmas Boutique full of clothing, decorations and gift items from 10-3pm today at 526 Glenneyre St.
The Winter Fantasy at the Sawdust Art Festival gets underway today starting at 10am. The festival grounds will be transformed into a winter wonderland where 175 artists create, display and sell original creations over the course of five weekends. And — Santa will be on hand for photos!
Later in the day, from 4-8pm, Zach Churchill Music entertains at The Ranch at Laguna Beach.
The Laguna Gallery of Contemporary Art's "Group Show” presents new works by resident artists from 5-8pm.
