Flora, Fauna & Fun: Discover hidden gardens and secret sanctuaries in South Laguna

Discover hidden gardens and secret sanctuaries in South Laguna on May 4 when homeowners open their grounds to Laguna Beach Garden Club’s “Gate & Garden Tour,” the annual fundraiser for educational school gardens, scholarships and community projects. The 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. event features fancy and fanciful gardens along a winding walking route and includes a quarter-acre formal garden with ocean views. 

Celebrate the “Eve of Cinco de Mayo” with Mexican fare and memorable margaritas (classic, Laguna Heat and Pom-Pomme), as well as free refreshments and a raffle of prizes from local artists and businesses.

The tour starts at Arabella Laguna, 506 North Coast Hwy, where shuttles will continuously take tourgoers to the first garden in South Laguna and back.  The last shuttle to South Laguna will leave at 2 p.m. 

Tickets are $45 in advance at www.lagunabeachgardenclub.org and at Laguna Beach Books, Laguna Drug, Laguna Nursery, Tides Inn and Dana Point Nursery.
