Main Street Burlesque

Who’da guessed that Main Street Bar and Cabaret, the ever popular LGBT getaway in Laguna Beach, has launched a playful and provocative burlesque affair replete with gorgeous girls...girls…girls! Patrons of the packed house sipped themed Malfy Gin cocktails and pink shots, compliments of the bar, until a stunning drag queen kicked things off. From there a bevy of long legged fascinating females seductively undressed in order to comfortably perform enticing splits, and bumps and grinds as they wriggled through the audience in boudoir attire from a bygone era. You can look but you really can’t touch so tips were gratefully accepted in a passed silver bucket.

No mere amateurs are these. Choreographed and Directed by dedicated professional Lillian DuJour, The Whisper Sisters comprised a half dozen beauties ranging from ages 20 to 60. A saucy black tuxedo outfit with pink blouse partially secreting tassled bosoms writhing animated to garner wild applause as an hour of riveting entertainment flew by. Audience participation completed the show with “sexy at any age” guests successfully taking onstage lessons delighting all. While this was a trial tribute to the art of burlesque, enthusiastic bar owner, Wendy Nelson, confided that instant fans expressed a wish for more of the same on future Sundays. Let’s all stand by!
