Prized Artist to Join the Sawdust

David Kizziar has his first showing at the Laguna Beach Sawdust Festival, booth #252. Native Laguna resident uses only six pencils to depict Laguna shoreline with phenomenal detail. His work is mesmerizing and an absolutely must see exhibit. Having won the Laguna Beach 2019 Juried Banner Competition with his oil painting, Ascend, depiction of a mermaid, a banner at Main Beach proudly hangs high. Drawing, Victoria Beach, was selected by the 2019 Colored Pencil Society of America- International Juried Exhibition. As David explains, each piece of art has over 300 hours of work as he wishes to emit a mood or feeling for the viewer. David’s soul is embedded in each masterpiece of his art collection but aside from that, he has written over 400 songs. His talent is displayed at the Sawdust, Dana Point Art Association, as well as Internationally. Laguna Hearts

If you left your heart in San Francisco, no worries, stop by booth #315 to find a new one. The handmade glass hearts are made in Laguna Beach daily by Master Glass Artist, Hillel Rzepka, Each heart is made with love and glass, then wrapped with either 14K gold wire or Sterling silver. He ran out of wire once and began forming his hearts into shapes and words. The creation of canvas art work was born using anywhere from 700 to over 1000 glass hearts. These versatile hearts are used for earrings, necklaces, bracelets and anklets. When not at the Sawdust you will find him at his gallery at 1432 South Coast Hwy., Laguna Beach, or visit his website at handmadehearts.com.
